WHO'S WHO

COLIN QUINN (Writer/Performer) is a stand-up comedian from Brooklyn (okay, Park Slope), who has been a part of your whole life even though you never asked for it. From MTV’s “Remote Control” to SNL to Comedy Central’s “Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn,” Mr. Quinn is not one to take a hint and bow out gracefully. He’s been on Broadway with Colin Quinn: An Irish Wake and Colin Quinn: Long Story Short and Off-Broadway with his show Colin Quinn: UnconstitutionalColin Quinn: The New York Story, directed by Jerry Seinfeld, Colin Quinn: Red State, Blue State, and most recently Colin Quinn: The Last Best Hope. Recent credits include TrainwreckGirls, and his web series “Cop Show,” streaming now on Colin’s YouTube channel. His last book, “Overstated: A Coast-to-Coast Roast of the 50 States,” is now out from Macmillan publishing. 

JAMES FAUVELL (Director) is making his Off-Broadway directorial debut with Small Talk. Previously, his short film Other People’s People screened at the Austin Film Festival and Holly Shorts (Winner,Best LGBT Film). Prior to that, James was Assistant Director for Tony and Emmy Nominee Scott Ellis. He began working with Colin as Associate Director on Red State Blue State (Off Broadway, CNN & Netflix) then again on Colin Quinn & Friends (HBO Max) and last year’s The Last Best Hope. James is also currently pursuing his Masters in Social Work at the University of Albany and would like to dedicate his work on Small Talk to his aunt, Lauraine Crilley, who passed away unexpectedly last year. MADISON LANE (Production Coordinator) (she/her) is a New York-based stage manager and production manager. Recent credits include: Pericles (Fiasco Theater Company); KATE (Connelly Theater); Love All Alices (On The Road Rep); Alison Leiby: Oh God, A Show About Abortion (Cherry Lane Theatre); Corsicana (Playwrights Horizons); The Misanthrope (Moliere in the Park); Wolf Play (Soho Rep); King Lear (New York Classical). ZOË HURVITZ (Scenic Designer) is a designer working in New York and London. She has designed for venues such as Hampstead Theatre, The National Theatre (Connections/New Views Festival 2022), The Orange Tree, The Park, Jermyn Street Theatre, Mercury Theatre, The New Diorama, The Royal Court, and the Director’s Programme at the Young Vic. US venues include Here Arts Centre, Ars Nova (AntFest), The Wild Project, The Sheen Center and Brown/Trinity Rep. Zoë was a winner of the 2019 Linbury Prize for Stage Design at the National Theatre and won the 2022 JMK development award with director Emerald Crankson. She has twice been a finalist in the Off West End Awards for Best Set Design and two of her designs were selected for World Stage Design 2022, one of which taking first place in the Emerging Set Design category. AMINA ALEXANDER (Lighting Designer) Freelance lighting designer/associate. Recipient of the Black Theatre Coalition fellowship 2021/2022. Designs include Alex Edelman’s Just For Us, Colin Quinn’s The Last Best Hope at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, and Stick Fly at St Louis Repertory Theatre. Amina is thrilled to be a part of this production.

MELANIE MCSWEENEY (Company Manager) is a stage performer turned arts administrator that hails from Canada. Previous credits include: KATE and Alex Edelman: Just For Us (Mike and Carlee Inc.) and Titaníque (Maximum Entertainment). Melanie has worked as a coordinator and manager with Rattlestick Theater Company, Transport Group and the PIT. She is currently working towards her Masters in performing arts administration at NYU. While not working and at school she enjoys spoiling her dog and a good farmer’s market.

ALEX BRIZEL (Associate Producer) is a comedy manager at AGI Entertainment Media & Management. Before transitioning into management, Alex founded and ran the podcast studio and production company ShowBriz Studios, where he produced podcasts for comedic talent such as Mark Normand, Jessica Kirson and Andy Kindler. Alex began his career producing live comedy showcases at venues throughout the NYC area, including the live late night talk show "Running Late" hosted by Scott Rogowsky at the Gramercy Theatre.
